There are shirts, and then there are Irving & Powell shirts. And these timeless fashion pieces, loved by celebrities and fashion identities including Tash Sefton, Nat Decorte and Georgie Abay, are available at a special Mosman pop-up store this week.
Irving & Powell is the brainchild of Mosman local, Victoria McEvoy – a former fashion buyer and merchandiser in New York for major fashion houses Ralph Lauren and Tory Burch.
When Victoria wasn’t satisfied with what was available in the marketplace, the simplest solution was to create her own brand. She wanted a shirt that felt perfectly worn in day one, but that got better with age too. A style that was easy, but classic. Something she could pull straight off the line or out of a suitcase and throw on. Something that looked as good tucked into a ball gown as boyfriend jeans. “I searched for years to find the perfect shirt, and when I couldn’t find what I was looking for I made it my mission to nail the design of the timeless, classic shirt for women,” she says.
Today, Irving & Powell’s women’s and men’s shirts are loved the world over for their impeccable tailoring and timeless style. They manage to harness the essence of chic in a classic utilitarian shirt.
To celebrate their first pop-up store, Irving & Powell will co-host a special shopping night alongside Mosman’s hottest Mexican restaurant, Provecho, on Thursday, 14 March. Customers are invited to shop at Irving & Powell whilst enjoying Provecho’s signature food and margaritas.
