Mosman Photography Awards Return for 2022!

The Mosman Photography Awards, now in their 3rd year, are proving to be an esteemed and authoritative format for local photographic talents. With entries for the 2022 awards due to open this month, here’s the lowdown on the awards…

The Awards

The Mosman Photography Awards  aim to encourage the use of  photography as a creative medium for the making of traditional and contemporary images. Now in their 3rd year, entrants from all over Sydney are encouraged to participate and submit their entries for consideration.

Mosman Photography Prize and Categories

This year the inaugural Mosman Photography Prize will be awarded to the image that is judged to best capture “Mosman” from across all sections and categories.

Categories include Animals + Birds (Youth & Open), Youth Open, Monochrome, Smartphone, Art Portfolio, Landscape Portfolio. An entry in a Portfolio Category
requires three images.

The Judges

The judges are respected, experienced professional photographers, with a demonstrated expertise and passion for photography.

The Gala Event

There will be a Gala Evening held at The Mosman Rowers Club, on Friday 7th October, where shortlisted entries will be printed and on display for viewing, prior to announcement of the category winners on the night.

The entries will remain on exhibition in Archie Bear on the lower level of the Mosman Rowers Club, to be enjoyed by casual dining visitors. Tickets for the event will be available for purchase closer to the date.
