Walk for Women – Walking against family and domestic violence

A walk to raise public awareness and promote advocacy to prevent violence against women in communities across Australia, will be staged in Mosman on Friday 1 December.

Led by Mosman Mayor Carolyn Corrigan, the walk will begin at Rawson Oval on Friday 1 December at 10am and conclude at the Headland Park Artist Precinct in Georges Heights. The end of the walk will feature addresses by Kerry Chikarovski AM, former Board Director of Our Watch, a national leader in the primary prevention of violence against women and their children in Australia; Phil Kearns AM, former Wallabies captain and two-time World Cup winner; and Paul Devaney, Detective Superintendent and Commander, North Shore Police Area Command.
