Sailing Camps, Middle Harbour Yacht Club
Discover Sailing Camps are a fun and unique school holiday or weekend activity where kids learn the ins and outs of sailing. The camps provide a safe, supportive and adventurous environment for kids to enjoy the outdoors through every season. A range of different age groups and skill levels are catered for.
Junior Discover Sailing Camp: For kids aged 8-12
Step 1 – Tackers 1 (Having Fun!) – This course aims to provide children aged 8-12 with a fun, safe and affordable way to get into sailing. Kids sail in pairs in small boats, plus it’s a great way to meet new friends.
Step 2 – Tackers 2 (Tricks & Techniques) – This course aims to build on the fun participants had in Tackers 1, to progress their sailing skills. If kids are confident, they can sail a boat on their own with lots of support, supervision and encouragement from the Instructor and Assistant Instructors.
Step 3 – Tackers 3 (Sailing Fast) – This course aims to build on skills learned in Tackers 2 and focuses on advanced sailing skills through games and adventures on the water. This is a chance for the kids to sail boats on their own, learning how to make the boat go faster and playing more games, all whilst still under the guidance and supervision of the Instructor and Assistant Instructors.
Youth Discover Sailing Camp: For Tweens (11-12) and Teens (13-18)
Step 1.1 – Start Sailing 1 – Your Discover Sailing journey starts here as you learn the fundamental skills of sailing and are introduced to the fun of dinghy sailing in a safe and supportive environment. Areas covered in the course include basic clothing and equipment selection, sailing terminology, boat launch and recovery and capsize recovery.
Step 1.2 – Start Sailing 2 – Your Discover Sailing journey continues as you master all of the fundamental dinghy sailing skills. Rigging of the boat, capsize recovery in deeper water, sail a triangular course, basic sailing rules and theory is covered during this course to give the participant a deeper understanding of sailing.

Big Music Holiday Rock Camp, Crows Nest
If your child has ever dreamed of being in a rock band, or just really likes music – Big Music at Crows Nest is the place to be these school holidays. Big Music has been running their Holiday Rock Camp program with great success, and all the staff are qualified musicians who are passionate about encouraging a love of music in their students. There’s no experience necessary with a course to suit all levels. The emphasis of the camp programs is on fun and participation in playing and performing popular music with other kids.
Good to Know: These popular Holiday Camps cater for all kids aged 6+ regardless of their prior musical experience. Each program runs for 4 days (9am-3pm) culminating in a performance for family and friends. Sydney Speaking School uses their team’s combined skills and years of experience to create fun and engaging courses in Public Speaking, Debating and Presentation Skills. Good to Know: The courses on offer are for children ages 6-15. Classes are kept small to ensure lots of practice in a welcoming atmosphere, and are taught by an experienced coach. Whilst classes normally run between 9am to 3pm, parents are able to leave their children at the venue until 5pm for a small fee.
Cost: The 2-day courses range from $200-$240. The 3-day courses are between $260-$300 (early bird specials are available).

Children will be introduced to Parkour, Jiu-Jitsu, Sumo wrestling, survival skills and more. They will learn awesome kicks, gymnastics and acrobatics moves, make friends and have fun with the multitude of activities and mini Olympic obstacle courses. Action camps are led by famous coach, actor and stuntman William Temm, trained by controversial Hollywood star Steven Seagal as featured in Mosman Daily’s recent cover story. Balmoral Adventure Camp – April 2019 23rd-24th (formerly Chowder Bay) Balmoral Sea Scouts Hall is the new home for Adventure Camp these holidays. Good to Know: Adventure Camp is for boys and girls in primary school, aged 7-12. The day is generally broken up into four separate periods of activity – and plenty of rest is provided for lunch, morning & afternoon tea and drinks. Each Adventure Camp is run by highly experienced staff and instructors who work with children on a daily basis. All staff hold current First Aid certificates, and have completed a ‘Working with Children’ check. There is also an Adventure Camp Rewards & Referral Program! 2019 Autumn Art Attack, Mosman
In this two-hour workshop the children will join artist-educator Emily Shaddick to look at the Artists of Mosman: 2088 exhibition.
They will then discuss their own homes and make a drawing of the street where they live. From this drawing they will craft a 3D model using cardboard, textas and collage materials.

Master Class, Neutral Bay
These workshops are designed to help teenagers build confidence, demystify maths and gain mastery of mathematical concepts!
Year 7 & 8: Let’s master the topic of Algebra in a fun group environment. Bounce ideas off one another and build a solid foundation on which all mathematical concepts are based.
Year 9 & 10: Mastery of Trigonometry! Making learning fun and relevant. Make all future learning in school significantly easier by gaining a thorough understanding of the fundamentals of Trigonometry. This Master Class will help take the stress off Years 9, 10, 11 and 12.
Year 11 & 12: HSC Preparation classes. Maximising students’ marks by teaching them where marks are allocated in the HSC, common errors that are made and how to properly set out their worked solutions.
Good to Know: All workshops run over three days. Year 7 & 8 is on from 9am-11am. Year 9 & 10 is on from 12pm-2pm, and year 11 and 12 is on from 2.30pm – 4.30pm.

The Wizard of Oz, Cammeray
Somewhere over the Rainbow and just in time for the School Holidays, NORTHS Cammeray is hosting this fun production of the all-time favourite The Wizard of Oz.
